vintage buttons

okay, so i know i have decided to forgo blogging for quite a while, and i apologize.

i don't really know where i left off, so...

i started a new dress, one for my older sister molly. it is blue satin, backless and strapless, and the back laces up with black satin ribbon, wrapped around little pearl buttons to hold it in place. should be pretty cute, if the buttons idea works.

for my birthday, my grandma took me to the fabric store, and she bought me a pattern for a cute vest, the most gorgeous fabric, and some cute buttons. i found the buttons i wanted, but then i found some more way cute buttons that i couldn't seem to pass up, so i was trying to decide which to get when i was like, 'you know what? i'm buying all of them.' they are so cute. a few are from the vintage collection that was absolutely amazing.

then we went to a coffee place for lunch, because they have amazing sandwiches. i got half of a turkey/ham/roast beef/provolone sandwich on wheat, and potato chips came with it. delicious.

then last night i worked, this huge gas station with two aisles of just candy. urgh. and the back cooler was so full of beer, it was ridiculous. but luckily we whipped through it because we just guessed prices, so we didn't have to search for them, which saved time.

i had to work again this morning, so my mum woke me up about ten minutes before my ride was supposed to come, six thirty. ashley, my ride to work, walked in the room as i was in the middle of putting on my pants. a bit awkward...

and i've just been sewing all day since i got home. i think i shall make some top ramen now.

"and this life sentence that i'm serving? i admit that i'm every bit deserving."
-relient k, be my escape
